3 Celebratory Wines without the Bubbles for New Year’s Eve

 In CGT Blog

Bubbly wines might get all the attention when it comes to New Year’s Eve traditions, but we’re here to tell you that this holiday is about drinking the wine you love most. The wine that gets you excited to jump feet-first into a brand new year. Be it bubbly or flat, drink the wine you love most this New Year’s Eve.

While we wholeheartedly believe that the best wine we make is the wine you like best, we wanted to share a few suggestions of wines that we think are fit for celebration!

Pinot Noir Rosé Vin Gris

That celebratory feeling of New Year’s Eve is alive and well in our Pinot Noir Rosé. It offers the perfect balance of acidity, berry flavors and subtle earthiness in a gorgeously hued wine. Made from a blend 100% Pinot Noir grapes, this wine is perfectly balanced. Pour a little pink to celebrate the arrival of 2021!

Pinot Noir Reserve

For red wine lovers, the most celebratory wine is often a nice bottle of red, and our Pinot Noir Reserve is a wonderful option for a New Year’s party. This wine offers a delicate fruitiness alongside subtle flavors of chocolate and clove. Aged for 26 months in small oak barrels, the refined oak complexity is sure to please the red wine lovers in the room.

Cherry Reserve “Port”

Our Cherry Reserve “Port” is a truly special bottle, making it the perfect thing for any New Year’s celebration. Rich and robust, this port-style wine is made from northern Michigan cherries and aged for 48 months in oak barrels. A sweet wine, this is the perfect bottle to pour alongside a little chocolate after dinner.

Wine Spritzer

Looking for something a little lighter? Still in the mood for some bubbles? Try adding a splash of soda water to some white wine for a spritzer! Not only is it delicious, but a wine spritzer has fewer calories, offers more hydration and is a responsible way to celebrate! Try making a spritzer with our Whole Cluster Riesling or Pinot Grigio.

You can find our wines at fine wine shops and grocery stores across the state. Or stop in the Old Mission Peninsula tasting room before the holiday arrives to pick up a few bottles for your New Year’s Eve celebrations!

We’re wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2021 – here’s to the next vintage!
