Position Summary

If you desire a career in the wine industry and are hospitality minded, this new and exciting position is for you! The Tasting Room Patio Manager will provide a professional and inviting atmosphere on the patio and in the tasting room. The Tasting Room Patio Manager will assist the Tasting Room and Merchandise Managers in all job duties in the tasting room as well as direct operation of the patio. 

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assume primary management of patio activities
  • Assist with and brainstorm potential new events and specials to improve overall patio experience
  • Supervise patio staff and food service
  • Assume all assignments directed by the Tasting Room Manager or Merchandise Manager
  • Assist in training, scheduling and supervising all staff
  • Learn open and closing tasks of tasting room and patio
  • Learn all software programs and assist in maintaining inventory and reports on them
  • Work off-site events as needed
  • Work on all Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail joint event days as scheduled
  • Work off-site events as needed

NOTE: Job duties may include standing for long periods of time, lifting and carrying cases of wine (must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.), daily cleaning chores, and complying with dress code.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal qualities: dependable, friendly, attentive, motivated, and level-headed
  • Food service experience- 1 year minimum
  • Previous hospitality/tasting room experience not required, but encouraged
  • Team orientation with the ability to work in an environment that requires flexibility
  • A professional demeanor and appearance 
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Previous wine knowledge not required, but is a bonus

Hours and benefits:

  • Full-time position; may be required to work any day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
  • Paid hourly to start, wage negotiable and based on experience
